Explanation:

(a) If an object exceeds the "2f" convex lens, the resulting image will be real and diminished in nature

(b) The lens power is indirectly proportional to the focal length.

For Example P\alpha \frac{1}{f}    (in meter)

Given these conditions, smaller focal length lenses would have greater power. Therefore, the A lens  have greater power.

(c)The formation of image when an object is placed in the front of a convex lens between focus and optical centre is explained clearly in the attachment

Characteristics of the image formed is as follows

  • The virtual image
  • The image is vertical
  • The image is enlarged
