Explanation:

given that,

Force=1N

mass=10kg

displacement=100cm=100×10^-2m

time taken=4sec

acceleration will be

a=F/m

=1/10m/s^2

we know that

displacemet = ut +  \frac{1}{2}  a {t}^{2}

where u =initial velocity

on putting the value

. 100=u×4+1/2×1/10×16

.100=4u+3.2

. 100-3.2=4u

-3. 1=4u

u=-3.1/4

thanks

sreelaasyachava: I think displacement is not 100. it is 100×10^-2

The initial velocity of the body is 0.05 m/s

Explanation:

Given that,

Force, F = 1 N

Mass of the body, m = 10 kg

Displacement, d = 100 cm = 1 m

Time, t = 4 s

Let u is the initial velocity of the body. It can be calculated using second equation of motion as :

d=ut+\dfrac{1}{2}at^2

Since, F = ma

d=ut+\dfrac{F}{2m}t^2

d-\dfrac{F}{2m}t^2=ut

1-\dfrac{1}{2\times 10}\times 4^2=4u

u = 0.05 m/s

So, the initial velocity of the body is 0.05 m/s. Hence, this is the required solution.
