A force acting on a 100kg mass changes its velocity from 6m/s to 2m/s in 10s. if object is displaced by a distance 10m, calculate the work done.​

Mass, m = 100 kg

Initial velocity, u = 6 m/s

Final velocity, v = 2 m/s

Time = 10 s

Displacement, x = 10 m

Acceleration, a = v-u/t

= 2 - 6 / 10

= -4 / 10

= -2/5 m/s²

Work = F . x

= m.a.x (Force = Mass × Acceleration)

= 100 × -2/5 × 10

= -400 N/m or, -400 J
