Given:

  • force acting on a body of mass 2 kg.

To Find:

  • impulse of force and final velocity of force .

Solution:

Impulse = area under F-t graph

m ( υ − u ) = ( 4 × 2 / 2 ) + 4 × 1 + ( 4 × 2 ) / 2

                = 12 N − s

2 ( υ − 0 ) = 12 ,

             υ = 12 / 2

                 = 6 m s ^{-1}

Thus the answer is  6 m s ^{-1}. [6 ms^-1]
