Answer:

¼m

Explanation:

Given :

  • Force produced in the body = F

  • Acceleration produced with a force F = a

  • Acceleration produced in other body by same force = 4a

To find :

  • Mass of the other body where acceleration produced is 4a

First body:

F = m×a

F/a = m - - - (1)

Second body:

Let mass be x

F = X × 4a

F/4a = X

Solving the equation we get :

X = ¼m

The mass of another body is ¼m

Given :-

  • Same force act on both body =F

  • Acceleration produced(in first case) =a

  • Acceleration in second case =4a

To Find:-

  • Mass of another body (in second case).

Solution :-

  • Let the mass of body( in first case )=m

we know that

Force =Mass × acceleration

➦ In first case

F =m× a...................... .......(i)

and

➦ In second case

F=m'× 4a..............................(ii)

From equation (i) and (ii) we get

➭ m × a = m'× 4a

➭ m = 1/4m'

∴The mass of second body is 1/4m'
