Answer:

Forces is 30° above the horizontal. Thus, the angle F and d is 30°.

So, work done = F.d Cos(theta) = 5.6. Cos 30

= 25.98 Joules

Given :-

  • Force acting on the object(F)  = 5 N
  • Distance traveled by the object (s) = 6 m
  • Angle made by the force with the horizontal (Ф ) = 30 °

Solution :-

Work done by an object is given by the formula ,

⟹ W= F s cos Ф

here , cos component of force is considered as the work done on the object is due to it's cos component the sin component does not does not contribute at all

Now let's substitute the given values in the above equation ,

⟹ W = 5 x 6 x cos 30

⟹ W = 30 cos 30

⟹ W = 30 x √ 3 / 2

⟹ W = 15 √ 3 J

⟹ W = 25.95 J

∴The work done is 25 .95 J
