Given:-

  • Force acting on Body = 1N

  • Initial Velocity of Body = 0m/s

  • Distance Covered = 100cm = 1m

  • Time taken = 4s.

To Find:-

  • The mass of the Body.

Formulae used:-

  • S = ut + ½ × a × t²

  • F = ma

Where,

  • S = Distance
  • u = Initial Velocity
  • t = Time
  • a = Acceleration
  • F = Force
  • m = Mass

Now,

S = ut + ½ × a × t²

→ 1 = (0)(4) + ½ × a × (4)²

→ 1 = 0 + ½ × a × 16

→ 1 = 8a

→ 1/8 = a

→ a = 0.125m/s²

Now Again,

F = ma

→ 1 = m × 0.125

→ 1 = 0.125m

→ m = 1/0.125

→ m = 8kg

Hence, The mass of the Body is 8kg.
