Given,

Force = 100 N

Mass of the body = 20 kg

Time = 5 seconds

To Find,

(a) Acceleration

(b) Final velocity attained by it

(c) Distance covered by it

Solution,

We can solve the question using the following steps:

(a) Acceleration

We know, F = ma

100 = 20*a

a = 5 m/s^{2}

(b) Final velocity attained by it

We know, v = u + at

v = 0 + 5*5

v = 25 m/s

(c) Distance covered by it

We know, s = ut + \frac{1}{2} at^{2}

s = 0*5 + \frac{1}{2} *5*5^{2}

s = 0 + \frac{125}{2}

s = 62.5 m

Hence, the (a) acceleration is 5 m/s^{2}, (b) final velocity attained is 25 m/s, and (c) distance covered is 62.5 m.
