Magnitude of the Force = 100 N

Area of the surface where it acts = 4

We know,

P = F/A

where,

  • P = Pressure,
  • F = Magnitude of Force exerted
  • A = Area

∴ P = (100 N)/(4 m²)

→ P = 25 N/m²

P = 25 Pa (Pascals)

Pressure exerted on the surface was of 25 Pascals.
