Given:-

  • Force F = 100N

  • Area on which force acts ,A = 0.2m²

To Find:-

  • Pressure exerted by the applied Force p

Solution:-

As we know that Pressure is defined as the Force per unit area is called Pressure.

→ Pressure = Force/Area

→ p = F/A

Substitute the value we get

→ p = 100/0.2

→ p = 100×10/2

→ p = 1000/2

→ p = 500Pa.

The pressure exerted by that force is 500 Pascal.

Additional Information!!

• Product of mass and acceleration is called force.

• SI unit of Force is Newton.

• It is denoted by N.

• Force is vector Quantity i.e., both Magnitude and direction.

Mathematical term

• Force = Mass×Acceleration
