given force is 10N
a1 is 4m/s
a2 is 20 m/s
as f=ma
in first case
10N=m1 ×a
10N=m1×4
thus m1 =10/4
and in 2nd case
10N =m2×20
thus
m2=10/20=1/2
thus total mass= 1/2+ 5/2=3 kg
thus if masses are tied together
10N=3 kg ×a
a = 10/3=3.33m/s^2
a1 is 4m/s
a2 is 20 m/s
as f=ma
in first case
10N=m1 ×a
10N=m1×4
thus m1 =10/4
and in 2nd case
10N =m2×20
thus
m2=10/20=1/2
thus total mass= 1/2+ 5/2=3 kg
thus if masses are tied together
10N=3 kg ×a
a = 10/3=3.33m/s^2
