Given :   A force of 10N is applied on a table top of length 3 feet and width 2 feet.

To find : Pressure on Table

unit of the pressure

Solution:

Pressure = Force / Area

Force = 10 N

table top of length 3 feet and width 2 feet.

Area of table top = 3 * 2 = 6 feet²

Pressure  on table  =  10 / 6   N /  feet²

= 5/3  N /  feet²

= 1.67  N /  feet²

unit of the pressure  = N /  feet²
