A force of 12 N produces an acceleration of 4.0 m/s- in an object A and 6.0 m/s in anom
object B. If the objects A and B are tied together and a force of 5.0 N is applied, what will be the
acceleration ?

Answer:   1 m/sec^2

Explanation:

Since  Force = mass * Acceleration

 for object  A and B;

12 = M_A\times 4=M_B \times 6

this will give

M_A=3kg\\M_B=2 kg

now when 5N Force is applied

5 =(M_A+M_B)* Acceleration

Acceleration=5/(2+3) =1 m/sec^2
