Given

  • Force = 1200 N
  • Area = 10 cm²

To Find

  • Trust and the pressure applied

Solution

● Pressure is given by the formula, P = F/A

Area on which the Force is applied

→ 10 cm² = 10/10000

→ Area = 0.001 m²

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Pressure Applied :

→ Pressure = Force/Area

  • Force = 1200 N
  • Area = 0.001 m²

→ Pressure = 1200/0.001

→ Pressure = 1200000 Pa

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

  • And the Force applied will be equal the thrust and so Thrust = 1200 N
