Given :

Force , F = 15 N .

Two objects of mass 3 kg and 5 kg .

To Find :

The ratio of the accelerations produces in the two cases .

Solution :

We know , acceleration is given by :

a=\dfrac{F}{m}

For mass 3 kg .

a_1=\dfrac{15}{3}\ m/s^2\\\\a_1=5\ m/s^2

For mass 5 kg .

a_2=\dfrac{15}{5}\ m/s^2\\\\a_2=3\ m/s^2

Therefore , the ratio is 5 : 3 .
