A force of 15 N is applied to the horizontal on a 0.75 kg block at
rest on a frictionless surface. What is the magnitude of the
resulting acceleration of the block and the normal force acting on
the block

Answer:

F= 15 N

M = 0.75Kg

We know the formula,

F=M a   {M being the mass and a being the acceleration}

This can be written as,

a= F/M

a= 15/0.75

a =  20 m/s ^2

The normal force acting on the block would be Zero because no force is acting either upward or downward on the box.

Hope this helps :D
