Given:-

  • Force , F = 150 N

  • Area on which force act ,A = 0.5m²

To Find:-

  • Pressure ,P

Solution:-

Pressure = Force/Area

•P = F/A

Substitute the value we get

→ P = 150/0.5

→ P = 150×10/5

→ P = 1500/5

→ P = 300 Pa.

Therefore, the pressure acting on the object is 300 Pascal.

Additional Information!!

Product of mass and acceleration is called force.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀OR

• Push or pull of an object is called force.

• SI unit of Force is Newton.

• It is denoted by N.

• Force is vector Quantity i.e., both Magnitude and direction.

• Mathematical term

• Force = Mass×Acceleration

Answer:

  • The required pressure acting on the object = 300 Pascal

Given:

  • A force of 150N is being applied over an area measuring 0.5m.

Need to find:

  • The required pressure acting on the object = ?

Solution:

Formula used here:

  • Pressure = Force/Area

Putting the values:

➦ Required Pressure = 150/0.5

➦ Required Pressure = 150 × 10/5

➦ Required Pressure = 1500/5

➦ Required Pressure = 300 Pascal

Therefore:

  • The required pressure acting on the object = 300 Pascal
