Pressure= Force÷Area

In first case

Pressure= 15÷1= 15Pa

In second case

Area is reduced to half, so area is= 0.5m^2

Pressure =

 \frac{15}{0.5}

= 30 Pa

Compare 30Pa and 15Pa, 30Pa is double of 15Pa

So Pressure is doubled when area is halved.

pressure = force/area

p(1)=15n/1m²

=15pascal

p(2)=15n/0.5m²

= (15n*2)/(0.5m²*2).... multipling both the denominator and numerator by 2

=30n/1m²

= 30pascal

proved p(2) is double of p(1).
