⋄ Force = 16N

⋄ Edge of Cube = 8cm

To Find

⋄ Pressure??

Solution :-

➠ Area (a) of one surface of cube = (8 cm)^3= 64×10^-4 m²

➠ Pressure (p) = Force/Area

➠ p = F/a

➠ p = 16N / 64×10^-4m²

➠ p= 10^4/4

➠ p= 2500 Pa.

∴ Hence, the pressure on this surface is 2500 Pa.

Force = 16 N

(Newton is the SI unit of Force)

Edge of surface = 8 Cm

Area of Surface = 8 × 8 = 64 Cm^2

Now , Formula used =

Pressure = Force / Area

As force given is 16 N and Area we find is 64

we put it in given formula to get pressure

Pressure = 16 / 64

Pressure = 1/4

= 0.25 N/Cm^2
