Explanation:
Let's find the mass of both the objects, for this we know:
- F = ma
So, put the values of condition of 1st object,
= F = ma
= 2 = m × 5
= 2/5 = m
= 0.4 = m
Now, the mass of second will be,
= F = ma
= 2 = m × 7
= 2/7 = m
= 0.28 = m
Now, when both the objects will be tied then mass of the objects will remain same and the total force will be force required to pull both the objects which is 2 N and mass will be 0.4 + 0.28 = 0.68 kg
So,
F = ma
2 = 0.68 × a
2/0.68 = a
200/68 = a
2.94 m/s² = a
Therefore, the acceleration when both objects will be tied is 2.94 m/s².
