A force of 200 N acts on a body having mass of 300 kg for 90 seconds. If the initial velocity of the body is 20 m/s determine the final velocity of the body when the force acts in the opposite direction of motion.

Force = mass × acceleration
= ma
200 = 300 ×-a ( force acts in opposite direction)
- a = 2/3 m/s^2 =- 0.3333... m/s ^ 2
v = ? ; u = 20 m/s
a = (v- u )/t
-0.3 = v - 20 /90
- 27 = v - 20
v =7 m/s
