Answer:

Given :-

  • A force of 250 N produce a moment of force of 500 Nm.

To Find :-

  • What is the moment of arm.

Formula Used :-

\clubsuit Torque Formula :

\mapsto \sf\boxed{\bold{\pink{\tau =\: r \times F}}}\\

where,

  • \sf \tau = Torque
  • r = Moment of arm
  • F = Force

Solution :-

Given :

\bigstar\: \: \bf{Torque\: (\tau) =\: 500\: Nm}

\bigstar\: \: \bf{Force\: (F) =\: 250\: N}

According to the question by using the formula we get,

\longrightarrow \sf 500 =\: r \times 250

\longrightarrow \sf \dfrac{50\cancel{0}}{25\cancel{0}} =\: r

\longrightarrow \sf \dfrac{\cancel{50}}{\cancel{25}} =\: r

\longrightarrow \sf \dfrac{\cancel{10}}{\cancel{5}} =\: r

\longrightarrow \sf \dfrac{2}{1} =\: r

\longrightarrow \sf 2 =\: r

\longrightarrow \sf\bold{\red{r =\: 2\: metres}}

{\small{\bold{\purple{\underline{\therefore\: The\: moment\: of\: arm\: is\: 2\: metres\: .}}}}}\\
