it could be false

as mass=weight/g

m=9.8/9.8

mass=1 kg

now force=mass*acc

40=1*a

acceleration=40m/s2

---------------------------HEY DEAR-------------------------

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER...........

****************************************************************

WEIGHT OF ANY BODY = mg

         9.8 N = m (9.8)              {g=acceleration due to gravity=9.8}

   so,

                  m=> 1 kg. .......................................(ANS.)

now,

  FORCE = mass *acceleration   ( this is not due to gravity)

  40N = 1 * acceleration

  so,

acceleration => 40 m/ sec^2..............................(ANS.)

***********************************************************************

HOPE IT HELPS YOU.....

THANKS...
