A force of 40N is applied at the end of a wire 4m long and it produced an extension of 0.24m if area is 2.3m square calculate stress , strain, and young modulus

Explanation:

As we know Stress=Force/Area So Stress = 40/2.3 =17.39

And strain = change in length (I.e extension)/Original length = 0.24/4 =0.06

Youngs Modulous = Stress/strain since we have calculated both of them out their value . Your answer will come.
