Original Force (f) = 5N

Let mass = m

Original Acceleration (a) = 2m/s²

We know that :-

f = ma

5 = m×2

2.5kg = m

Doubled mass (M) = 2×m

M = 2×2.5

M = 5 kg

Doubled acceleration (A) = 2×a

A = 2×2

A = 4m/s²

New Force (F) = MA

F = 5×4

F = 20N

Here is your answer and hope it helps you.

Answer

You know that force and acceleration are connected through mass, or:

F

=

m

a

Here you have:

10

=

5

m

so that

m

=

10

5

=

2

k

g

;

Then if you have

a

=

8

m

s

2

you get:

F

=

2

8

=

16

N
