A force of 5 Newton gives the marks of M1 and acceleration of 10 m per second square and a mass of M2 an acceleration of 20 metre per second square what acceleration would it give if both the masses were tied together

Explanation:

For the first body,

F=5N

mass=m₁

a=8m/s²

Now, F=ma

     So, 5=m₁ * 8

    So,  m¹=5/8 kg

For second body,

F=5N

mass= m₂

a=24 m/s²

Now, F=ma

So,   5=m₂ * 24

So,   m₂=5/24 kg

Combined mass of both bodies, m₁+m₂= 5/8 + 5/24

                                                               = (15+5)/24

                                                               = 20/24 kg

Now, m= 20/24 kg

         F= 5N

         a= ?

F=ma

So, 5= 20/24 * a

So, a=5*24/20

So, a= 6m/s²

Thus the acceleration produced will be 6 m/s²
