Force required to push the car at constant speed = 50 N

Hence, the force of friction from the ground = 50 N

Now, New Force = F

And acceleration (a) = 1 m/s^2

Mass of the car = 500 kg

F - Friction = ma

F = ma + Friction

F = 500 × 1 + 50

F = 550 Newtons

Hence, the force required is 550 Newtons.

Answer: 550 N

Explanation:

Frictional force, f = 50N

Mass, m = 500 kg

Acceleration, a = 1 m/s²

Let required force be F

A T Q , by 2nd law of motion

F - f = ma

F = 500*1 + 50

Hence F = 550 N
