Answer:

HII! I KNOW!Answer:

Explanation:

Given :-

Force, F = 5.0 N

Acceleration of the first body, a₁ = 8.0 m/s²

Acceleration of the second body, a₂ = 24 m/s²

To Calculate :-

Acceleration for a body of mass, m₁ + m₂ = ??

Formula to be used :-

F = ma

Our first problem is to find m₁ and m₂.

Therefore, using : m₁ = F/a₁ and m₂ = F/a₂

m₁ = 5/8 kg and m₂ = 5/24 kg

Therefore, m = m₁ + m₂

= 5/8 + 5/24

= 15 + 5/24

= 20/24 kg

Hence, a = F/m = 5/20/24

a = 15 + 5/24 = 120/20 = 6.0 m/s².

Hence, the masses are tied together is 6.0 m/s²
