F = 5N
a = 8 m/s²
m = F/a = 5/8 kg
a2 = 24 m/s²
m2 = 5/24 kg
m+m2 = 5/8 + 5/24 = (15+5)/24 = 20/24 = 5/6 kg
acceleration of mass tied together = F/(m+m2) = 5/(5/6) = (5×6)/5 = 6 m/s²
a = 8 m/s²
m = F/a = 5/8 kg
a2 = 24 m/s²
m2 = 5/24 kg
m+m2 = 5/8 + 5/24 = (15+5)/24 = 20/24 = 5/6 kg
acceleration of mass tied together = F/(m+m2) = 5/(5/6) = (5×6)/5 = 6 m/s²
