Given :

  • Force on body = 60 N

  • Area of cross section = 5 cm²

To Find :

  • Pressure exerted by the body

Solution :

Pressure = Force / Area

Area is given in cm². We have to convert it in m²

➨ 1 cm² = 0.0001 m²

➨ 5 cm² = 0.0005 m²

Now substitute these values in formula

➨ P = 60 / 0.0005

➨ P = ( 60 * 1000 ) / 5

➨ P = 600000 / 5

➨ P = 120000 N / m² or Pascal

Pressure exerted by the body is 120000 Pascal
