Answer: 1551 N/m^2

Formula :    Pressure=\frac{Force}{Area}

Step-by-step explanation:

While solving this type of problems conversion of units is very important.

In spite of knowing formulas , we can't do anything.But conversion is important.

Force , F = 76 N

Area,A=490cm^2=490(10^{-2}m)^2=490*10^{-4}m^2

So, Pressure,P=\frac{F}{A} \\\\=> P =\frac{76}{490*10^{-4}} \\\\=> P=\frac{76}{0.049} \\\\=>P=1551 Pascal

So, Pressure is 1551 N/m^2

Given

Force applied = 76 N

Area = 490 cm²

To Find

Pressure in N/m²

Solution

Here, force (F) = 76 N

And, area = 490cm²

⇒ Area = 490/(100 × 100) m²

⇒ Area = 490/10000 m²

Area = 0.049 m²

We know that,

➝ Pressure = Force/Area

Putting values we get :

➝ Pressure = 76/0.049

Pressure = 1551.02 N/m²

Therefore,

Pressure is 1551.02 N/m²
