Required Answer :

Acceleration produced in the body = 19.6 m/s²

Given :

• Force acting on a body = 9 kgf

• Mass of the body = 4.5 kg

To find :

• The acceleration produced in the body

Solution :

★ Here, we are given the mass and force acting on the body and we need to calculate the acceleration. So, for that we will use the formula of force. .

Formula of force :

  • Force = ma

where,

  • m denotes the mass of the body
  • a denotes the acceleration

From the above formula, we get :

  • Acceleration = Force ÷ Mass

we have,

  • Force = 9 kgf
  • Mass = 4.5 kg

The value of force is in kgf, so firstly we will convert it from kgf into N.

⇒ Force = 9 × 9.8

⇒ Force = 88.2 N

Now, substituting the given values :

⇒ Acceleration = 88.2/4.5

⇒ Acceleration = 8820/450

⇒ Acceleration = 882/45

⇒ Acceleration = 19.6

Acceleration produced in the body = 19.6 m/s²
