A force of F= 2i + 3j + 4k acts on a particle which moves from the point A= 3i + 2j + k to
B = 4i - 2j - 2k. Find the work done by the force.

  • work=force×displacement
  • net displacement =B-A = (4i-2j-2k)-(3i+2j+k) = 1i-4j-3k
  1. W=(2i+3j+4k)× (1i-4j-3k)= 2 -12 -12 =22 joule
