A Forester having 5 feet 3 inch height wants to measure height of the tree
with trunk (assume cylindrical) perimeter 20/7 without climbing on tree. Said
person 20 feet away from tree observe own shadow 9.093 feet in length. If
shortest distance between tree and tip of the tree shadow is 24 feet then
calculate height of the tree. (Assume observation taken on the same day & time
and trees surrounding is plain).

Answer:

Explanation:From Pythagoras theorem

AC2=AB2+BC2

AC2=52+122=25+144=169

AC=13cm

Original height=AB+AC

=5+13=18cm.
