Answer:
The teams of GHMC’s disaster response force (DRF) have already completed spraying disinfectants at all public places and sidewalks of all main roads. They are now set out to disinfect residential colonies, internal lanes and bylanes by the end of this week. The lockdown is in force until April 14 and if all goes well, people will be treated to a breath of fresh air when they come out on roads on April 15.
"It could not have been possible with the usual public movement on the roads," says GHMC's Enforcement Vigilance and Disaster Management (EVDM) Director Viswajit Kampati.
The corporation has provided the personnel with goggles, gloves, masks and other personal protection equipment (PPE) for the disinfection operation. They are fully protected against any potential infections during the work and they are also welcomed by residents when they visit colonies to spray the disinfectants.
