A fort had provision of food for 200 men for 50 days,

After 10 days 50 men left the fort, so 150 men are there in the fort.

So, now fort is having food for 150 men for 60 days.

Suppose 150 men had food for x days.

Now, Less men, More days (Indirect Proportion)

150 × x = 200 × 60

150x = 12000

x = 12000/150

x = 80 Days.

GIVEN :

  • Provision for 200 men = 50 Days
  • The numbers of men left after 10 Days = 50 men

TO FIND :

  • Numbers of days taken if consumed at the same rate = ?

STEP - BY - STEP EXPLANATION :

Here, as per the provided question we are said here to find the number of days they will face last if consumed at the same rate.

So, for finding the number of days we will have to Assume the number of days = x

⇒ 150 × x = 200 × 60

⇒ 150x = 12,000 [ Shifting the Like values and Unlike values ]

⇒ x = \frac{12,000}{150} = 80

Therefore, 80 days will be taken if consumed at the same rate.
