soldiers in the begining=175
soldiers now=175-100=75
Inverse variation,
175/75=x/30
x=(175x30)/75
x=70 days

Answer:

Food will last in 70 days.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that a fort has enough food for 45 days for 175 soldiers.

The total food is

45\times 175=7875

After 15 days 100 soldiers leave the fort. It means in 15 days the required food is

15\times 175=2625

The remaining food is

7875-2625=5250

The remaining soldiers is 75. Let 75 soldiered finish the food in x days.

5250=75x

\frac{5250}{75}=x

70=x

Therefore food will last in 70 days.
