Answer:

let no. of days the food will last be A

by unitary method,

180 x 40 = ( 10 x 180 ) + ( 150 x X )

150 x X = 180 x 30

5x = 180

x = 36

total daya the food shall last = A = 10 + X = 46 days

hope it helps

Answer:

⠀⠀⠀⌬ Ration for 40 days for 180 soldiers

⠀⠀⠀⌬ 30 soldiers left after 10 days

⠀⠀⠀⌬ Total number of days food will last?

\underline{\bigstar\:\textsf{According to the given Question :}}

:\implies\sf Men \times Days=Men \times Days+Mens \times Days\\\\\\:\implies\sf 180 \times 40 = 180 \times 10 + (180 - 30) \times Days\\\\\\:\implies\sf 180 \times 40 - 180 \times 10 = 150 \times Days\\\\\\:\implies\sf 180(40 - 10) = 150 \times Days\\\\\\:\implies\sf 180 \times 30 = 150 \times Days\\\\\\:\implies\sf \dfrac{180 \times 30}{150} = Days\\\\\\:\implies\sf \dfrac{180}{5} = Days\\\\\\:\implies\sf Days = 36

\therefore\:\underline{\textsf{Hence, remaining food will last for \textbf{36 days}}}.
