Heya........

Let the numerator be X and denominator be y

According to question,

X-2/y=1/3

3X-6=y...(1)

X/y-1=1/2

2X=y-1.....(2)

Substitute eq.(1) in eq.(2)

2X=3X-6-1

=>2X-3X=-7

=>-X=-7

=>X=7

Substitute this value in eq.(2)

=>2X=y-1

=>2(7)=y-1

=>14+1=y

=>y=15

So fraction become 7/15

Answer:7/3

Step-by-step explanation:

let the fraction be x/y

equation 1 formed is=x/y-2=1/3

by solving eqn. 1 we get x=7y/3

equation 2 formed is=x/y-1=1/2

substituting the value of x in eqn. 2 we get

7y/3/3-1=1/2

7y/9-1=1/2

by solving this eqn. further we get y=27/9

so,x=7y/3

putting value of y we get x=7

hence the required fraction=7/3
