Let the fraction be x/y.
x is numerator and y is denominator.

Multiplying whole equation by 5,
♦ Fraction becomes 5/6 when 3 is added to both numerator and denominator.
Multiplying whole equation by 9,
Now , subtracting equation (2) by equation (1),
→55x - 45y - (54x - 45y) = -20 - (-27)
→55x - 45y - 54x + 45y = -20 + 27
→x = 7
Now , substituting value of x=7 in equation (2),
→ 54(7) - 45y = -27
→ 378 - 45y = -27
→ -45y = -27 - 378
→ -45y = -405
→ y = -405/-45
→ y = 9
