Answer:
If two unlike fractions are given, we need to first convert them into like fractions and then find a fraction that lies between the two.
For example, A fraction between 2/3 and 5/6
LCM of 3 and 6 is 6
so,
2/3 = 2×2/3×2 = 4/6
5/6 = 5×1/6×1 = 5/6
Now in order to find a fraction between them we have to divide their sum by 2
So, a fraction lying between 2/3 and 5/6 is = 4/6+5/6
2
=9/6 = 9/6×1/2= 9/12
