according to given information:-

x/y=1/2. ...(I)

x+2/y+2=5/9. ....(ii)

solving equation I -

X=y/2

putting value of x in eq 2

y/2+2/y+2=5/9

(y+4/2)/(y+2)=5/9

y+4/2y+4=5/9

9y+36=10y+5

y=31

x=y/2

x=31/2

x=15.5

hence fraction is
