A freon 12 simple saturation cycle operates at numerical: temperatures of 350c and 150c for the condenser and evaporator respectively. Determine the cop and hp/tr of the system.

b.If a liquid vapour heat exchanger is installed in the system, with the temperature temperature of the vapour leaving the heat exchanger at 150c, what will be the change in the cop and hp/tr? Take cpv = 0.64 kj/kgk, cpl = 0.94 kj/kgk

Cop is given by 1/{(Tc/Te)-1}

So

1/{(273+35)÷(273-15)-1}=5.16

That means 5.16kw for every 1KW of power  

so converting 5.16kw to Tr the value will be  

1.45Tr
