A frog at the bottom of a forty-foot deep well, every day jumps up three feet and at night falls back two feet. How many days will it take him to get out of the well?

Therefore,everyday he goes 1 foot up

So after 37 days it will 37 feet up and three feet will be left

On the 38th day it will jump out of the 40 feet deep well as 37+3=40 and escapes from there
