Breathing is just the taking in of oxygen and released of carbon dioxide and not the breakdown of food . So, it will considered a physical process .

Breathing s a physical change as it is only inhalation and exhalation of air .But if you see breathing is a process in which respiration is done and In respiration the glucose molecules is oxidised to form carbon dioxide and water along with release of energy . since, in this new products are formed so it is a chemical change in this respect the frog breathing heavily is a chemical change . However, breathing is a physical change but respiration is chemical..
