A frog fell into a hole that was 14/1by2 feet deep he could jump 3feet but he slid back a foot each time he jumped how many jumps does it take him to get out of the hole?​

7 jumps. with each jumps inside the hole he covers 2 feet (3feet jump - 1 foot slide). So after 5th jump he is (back) at 10. jumps 3 feet… ah, nearly out, but slides back to 12.. so that is where he is after 6th jump.

Now with 7th jump he gets from 12 to 15, so well outside of the hole… no reason he would slide back down 1 foot
