A frog hops along a straight line path from point 'A' to point 'B ' in 10 seconds and then turns and hops to point 'C' in another 5 seconds . Calculate the average speed and average velocity of the grih for the motion between {1} A to B. {2} A to C { through B }. on number line

Step-by-step explanation:

A = 7

B = -2

C = 3

From A to B,

distance = displacement = 7 - (-2)

                                         = 7 + 2

                                         = 9

time = 10s

Avg Speed = Avg Velocity = 9/10 = 0.9

From A to C

distance = 7 - (-2) + 3 - (-2)

               = 9 + 5

               = 14

displacement = 7 - 3

                       = 4

time = 14s

Avg Speed = 14/15 = 0.933

Avg Velocity = 4/15 = 0.267

Hope it helps :)
