In two step forward it covers 0.213 m * 2 = 0.426m.
In one step back, it comes 0.17 m back.
Therefore in 3 steps it would've only covered 0.426-0.17=0.409m.

In 6 steps it would've covered 0.409 * 2 = 0.818 m.

In total 8 steps it would've covered 0.818 + 0.426 = 1.244 m.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

In two step forward it covers 0.213 m * 2 = 0.426m.

In one step back, it comes 0.17 m back.

Therefore in 3 steps it would've only covered 0.426-0.170=0.256m.

In 6 steps it would've covered 0.256 * 2 = 0.512 m.

In total 8 steps it would've covered 0.512 + 0.426 = 0.938 m.
