height of the tower.​

Also AB = ED = 10 m

In △DAE,

tan y˚ = DE/AE

¼ = 10/AE

⇒ AE = 40 m

Now in △CAE,

tan x˚ = CE/AE

⇒ 5/2 = CE/40

⇒ CE = (40 × 5)/2

= 100 m

Height of the tower h = CE + ED

= 100 + 10 = 110 m
