Let weight of oranges be x and weight of pears be y.

=) Weight of apples be 2x and 3y.

Hence 2x = 3y

=) x = 3y/2 and y= 2x/3

Hence Ratio of the weight of the apples to the weight of the fruit in the basket;

= weight of apples / (weight of oranges + pears + apples)

= 2x/(x+y+2x)

= (2*3y/2) / (3y/2 + y + 2*3y/2)

= 3y/(3y/2 + y + 3y)

= 3y/11y/2

= 6y/11y

= 6/11

= 6:11 is correct answer.

Hope it's helpful to u.
